ChappelRoberts, a Tampa, Florida advertising agency asked eyeTricks to create what may be the world’s largest stereogram. The project was created for Lions Eye, a non-profit organization that restores sight to persons who cannot afford sight-saving surgery. The concept is to get sighted people to visualize the frustration of not being able to see well and then the amazement when she and he can see clearly for the first time. Hidden image stereograms are the perfect metaphor for this process. Stereograms engage the viewer and hold the viewer’s attention for much longer than a traditional poster. Gene Levine from eyeTricks worked closely with Pat Floyd, Senior Art Director at ChappelRoberts to craft this mammoth stereogram that appears in the Tampa airport and features a hidden life-sized lion. The smaller poster on the right is easier for most people to see and is accompanied by explanatory text.
